PDAC/Arts for All is a non-profit organization founded by Gwen Bowen and a dedicated board of committed individuals who believe in the magic and transformative power of the arts. The organization promotes arts programming in the Colorado community and attempts to make arts opportunities available to under-privileged children by providing scholarships through the Grant Avenue Kids program.PDAC/Arts for All originated as a personal dream of Gwen Bowen, a highly respected Denver dance instructor with over fifty years of experience teaching, choreographing, and participating in national and regional dance organizations.
"When you see a student who is shy and lacking confidence and then you see them realize, 'Hey, I can dance!' the soul satisfaction makes it worth a million," says Bowen.
With the dedicated efforts of an enthusiastic board of committed individuals, PDAC/Arts for All is in the process of expanding our mission to make all forms of arts programming - including performing, visual, and media arts - accessible to all members of the Colorado community. Arts accessibility is an invaluable component of a well-rounded education and makes for a memorable childhood that paves the way for future successes. In our fast-paced and often fragmented modern culture, children (and adults!) need creative outlets and safe extra-curricular programs where they can explore their talents, expand their horizons, connect directly with others, and participate in a supportive environment.
